Ha ha typical for the British to be different

I do like the all white dress code at Wimbledon, looks very smart and is easier on the eye than some of the garish colours we see gracing the courts at other tournaments.

Here is a quick explanation of how seedings work for Wimbledon?

To work out seedings : Three Things are considered

i) The ATP Ranking points announced before the Draw referred to ESP(Entry System Points).

ii) The points earned by the players in grass court tournaments in the past 12 months (including the last year Wimbledon points)

iii) The points earned for best grass court tournament in the 12 months immediately preceding the period mentioned in ii above.

These three are added in the following way :::

100% of i + 100% of ii + 75% of iii

Thus, this way Wimbledon gives seedings to the Top-32 players as per ATP Rankings. (in a way, Wimbledon uses this formula for giving seedings to these Top-32 players only).

Although I think Andy Murray may lose in the first round, here we go:

1st Round: Davydenko

2nd Round: Karlovic / Sela

3rd Round: Dimitrov / Anderson / Baghdatis

4th Round: Raonic / Cilic (this will be a really tough, if he manages to proceed to Round-4)

Quarterfinals: Del Potro / Ferrer

Semifinals: Nadal / Tsonga

Final: ROGER FEDERER / Djokovic

As for Rafael Nadal,

1st Round: Bellucci

2nd Round: Rosol / Dodig

3rd Round: Haas / Kohlschreiber (Remember, Kohlschreiber defeated Rafa at halle very recently, this will be a cracker of a match).

4th Round: Lopez / Dolgopolov

Quarterfinals: Tsonga / Fish (Good to see Mardy Fish back after his treatment)

Semifinals: Murray / Del Potro / Raonic

Final: ROGER FEDERER / Djokovic

3rd Round: Muller / Benneteau

4th Round: Verdasco / Simon

Quarterfinals: Isner / Tipsarevic

Semifinals: Djokovic / Berdych

Going by the seeings, these are the possible matches of the Top 8 seeds

1. Novak Djokovic

R1 : Juan Carlos Ferrero

R2 : Possibly Ryan Harrison

R3 :: Possibly the 28th seeded Radek Stepanek

R4 : Possibly, the 16th seeded Juan Monaco.
