Updated to include today's win!!! :D :D

Take note...Miami Masters begins Monday. I'm guessing Federer has a 1R bye, but not 100%.

AND...for anyone taking note, Roger Federer has picked up 3 titles, made the SF's of Australian Open & gained approximately 1300 extra ranking points so far this season!

Happy time to be a Fed Fan!! B)

Yes, have been keeping track of points as well. Have a separate thread for points as well.

here's the link Points

Also, will be doing a post to explain how these points are calculated & how can Fed reach no. 1 again :)

FINALLY!! Grass court season is here! :D :D

Roger plays Florian Mayer of Germany later this evening in the second round.

Interesting that Nadal is playing Halle this year. Will we see a Federer-Nadal final??

We couldn't get a Roger-Rafa final at Halle, but, how great it will be to see a Fedal final at wimbledon :).

Hey guys we all know Roger is continually breaking records. Thought I'd share some potential milestones for the second half of 2012:
  • 7th Wimbledon Title (17 Grand Slams, would tie Pete Sampras' record)
  • Olympic Gold (Roger would hold BOTH singles and doubles Gold, plus become the 3rd player to achieve the Career Golden Slam, apart from Agassi and Nadal)
  • 5th Cincinnati Masters Title (currently joint highest with 4)
  • 6th US Open (would become outright holder of most US Opens in the Open Era)
  • First Shanghai Masters Title (one of the 3 Masters events he has not won yet, along with Monte Carlo and Rome)
For the other events, Roger would merely be extending records he already owns (such as 7 ATP World Tour Finals, 6 Basel Titles). Coming up soon though is possibly his 850th Career match win! This would be in his 4th round match at Wimbledon. Another landmark for our champion.

More potential landmarks!
  • Surpassing MacEnroe's 77 Singles Titles (Connors - 109, Lendl - 94 are highest on this list, Roger currently has 74)
  • Surpassing MacEnroe (867) and Agassi (870) in Career Match Wins (Roger stands on 846)
  • (Looking into the long run, let's hope we witness this!) Most consecutive slams played - Edberg (54), Ferrera (56): Roger could surpass Edberg at Wimbledon 2013 and Ferrera at the Australian Open 2014
