Hey all,

in today's Swedish Collector Open final, World No.1 & no.1 seed Serena Williams defeated World No.76 and no.8 seed Johanna Larsson of Sweden 6-4 6-1. It was their second meeting - the first one came on hard court, at Fed Cup play-offs in Delray Beach, USA, earlier this year. At that time, Williams won 6-2 6-2.

Serena with the trophy

On route to the final, the American has not lost a set and has never been taken to a tie-break.

This is Serena's first WTA International title, but also 53th career title and 7th one this season. That means she's won every single clay tournament she entered this year, including Mutua Madrid Open, Internazionali BNL'd Italia and the French Open.

She's 28-0 on clay, too, and this is her personal record-breaking 51th win of the season before going into US Open Series. Her previous record was 38.

The runner-up - Johanna Larsson

For Johanna Larsson, the 24 years old Swede, it was third WTA singles final and the third time she finished as a runner-up.
