Roger Federer sealed his place in his 12th consecutive World Tour Finals as he defeated Kevin Anderson 6-4, 6-4 in 1 hour & 22 minutes to reach the Round-3 of BNP Paribas Masters, 2013.
Roger Federer continued his form from Basel & immediate broke Anderson's service in the very first game. Federer served much better & didn't face any break point in the first set.
He comfortably won the 1st set 6-4 in 40 minutes.

The Swiss Maestro broke Anderson's service in the 3rd & 5th game to get to a 4-1 lead. Anderson service has been one of the primary reasons for his rise in 2013 & he ensuring a Top-20 ranking in 2013. But, today, the service faltered & Federer made the full use of it.
How ever, Roger Federer lost his concentration for a brief while serving for the match at 5-2. Federer got broken in the 8th game, then Anderson had a comfortable hold to make it 5-4.
Carrying on with this momentum, the South African had two more break points in the 10th game, but, Federer managed to save those two break points with two fine serves & then Federer sealed the match on his first match point to win the set 6-4 in 40 minutes.

Federer's 1st serve % for the match stood at 65%. On the other hand, Anderson's first serve was a mere 58% & the South African made 35 unforced errors in the match.

Roger Federer's next opponent in Round-3 (Round of 16) will be Philipp Kohlschreiber who defeated Tommy Haas once again to book his place in the Round of 16. The match will be on Thursday.
