Roger Federer stormed in to the semis of Brisbane International, 2014 as he eased past Marinko Matosevic 6-1, 6-1 in just 58 minutes.
The Swiss Maestro got off to a slow start as the Aussie had three break points in the opening game of the 1st set. Federer managed to save those break points & that was the only moment of the match, when Matosevic was ahead of Federer.
Federer broke the Aussie's service in the 2nd game after Matosevic double faulted. The Swiss then had the insurance break as he raced to a 4-0 lead.
Federer comfortably served out the set in the 7th game winning 6-1 in 27 minutes.

Federer broke Matosevic's service in the 3rd, 5th & 7th game of the 2nd set to comfortably win the 2nd set 6-1 in 31 minutes. Matosevic had to take a medical time out as his neck looked in pain.
Overall, Federer's game had the fluency & he service looked much better especially in the 1st set.
