Hey all,

I know, you all are looking forward to Australian Open with great interest. So, am I :).

But, as I live near to Dubai, so, I am a regular visitor to Dubai Open. As, you know, its an ATP-500 tournament & is rated as the best ATP-500 tournament.

Not only is the tournament extremely players friendly, but, the facilities & care that is given to fans is truly amazing.

I also will be covering Dubai Open, 2014 for all of you.

So, in this topic, I will share my experiences of Dubai Open with you all & if you guys have any question about Dubai or visiting Dubai Open, feel free to ask by dropping a comment below.

My first time visit to Dubai Open was in 2011.

Just two weeks before the Dubai Open started, I got a fracture in my leg & my Doctor asked me not to travel. But, I just couldn't stop myself from going to Dubai mainly to see the maestro Roger Federer live in action. I was there the whole week. Seeing Federer live on a Tennis court is so mesmerizing. You really find it hard to move your eyes from him.

His perfect footwork, his perfect timing, his every moment is so precise. He truly is Mr. Tennis & seeing him play is like Poetry in Motion.

I had tears of joy when I got to see him live in action & that moment still makes me so emotional, so refreshed when ever I think of that.

I had the great fortune of seeing all the 5 matches of the maestro.

His 1st round win was vs Somdev Devvarman

2nd round vs Marcel Granollers

QF win vs S Stakhovsky

& SF win vs Richard Gasquet were all straight set wins & I got to see some flawless Tennis from the maestro.

How ever, Novak Djokovic played a fantastic final match & won Dubai Open for a 3rd consecutive time beating Roger 6-3, 6-3.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us Taghreed. :)

I know what you mean about having your eyes drawn to Roger when he is on court, there is something totally mesmerising about the way he plays.
