Wimbledon organizers just like Australian Open and Roland Garros also have increased the prize money for all events being held in 2014 namely Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles & even the Qualifiers.

Its not just traditions & white dress code, its also about Money, Honey at Wimbledon championships :).

 

 

 

 

For all of you who wanna know how much the increase in prize money for Wimbledon 2014 has been vis-a-vis 2013 or for knowing how much is the pay check for players at Wimbledon, 2014 read on ---

 

 

 

Singles(Both Men and Women) :

 

 

Players losing in Round 1 of Wimbledon, 2014 are guaranteed GBP 27,000 or USD 46,190 (up almost 15% vis-a-vis 2013).

 

 

Players losing in Round 2 of Wimbledon, 2014 are guaranteed GBP 43,000 or USD 73,560 (up almost 13% vis-a-vis 2013).

 

 

Players losing in Round 3 of Wimbledon, 2014 are guaranteed GBP 71,000 or USD 121,454 (up almost 13% vis-a-vis 2013).

 

 

 

Players losing in Round 4 of Wimbledon, 2014 are guaranteed GBP 117,000 or USD 200,000 (up almost 11.5% vis-a-vis 2013).

 

 

Players losing in Quarter Finals of Wimbledon, 2014 are guaranteed GBP 226,000 or USD 386,600 (up almost 10% vis-a-vis 2013).

 

 

Players losing in Semi-Finals of Wimbledon, 2014 are guaranteed GBP 440,000 or USD 752,670 (up almost 10% vis-a-vis 2013).

 

 

The losing Finalist of Wimbledon, 2014 will carry home GBP 880,000 or USD 1,505,341 (up almost, 10% vis-a-vis 2013).

 

 

 

While the winner of Men's or Women's singles Wimbledon 2014 will be richer by GBP 1,760,000 or 1.76 million GBP or 3.010 million USD  (up almost 10% vis-a-vis 2013).

 

 

 

Notably, the 2013 Wimbledon champions Marion Bartoli and Andy Murray had got 1.6 million GBP prize money for winning Wimbledon.

Doubles Team losing in the Second Round of Wimbledon, 2014 will win a prize money of 13,000 GBP (up 10% from 2013).

 

 

Doubles Team losing in the Third Round of Wimbledon, 2014 will win a prize money of 21,500 GBP (up 10% from 2013).

 

 

Doubles Team losing in the Quarter Finals of Wimbledon, 2014 will win a prize money of 41,000 GBP (up 9% from 2013).

 

 

Doubles Team losing in the Semi Finals of Wimbledon, 2014 will win a prize money of 81,500 GBP (up 8% from 2013).

 

 

The Runners-up of Wimbledon, 2014 Doubles event will win a prize money of 163,000 GBP (up 9% from 2013).

 

 

The winners of Wimbledon, 2014 Doubles event will win a prize money of 325,000 GBP (up 8.33 % from 2013).

 

 

 

 

Mixed Doubles ::

 

 

It needs to be mentioned that prize money for Mixed doubles at 2014 Wimbledon has been increased slightly as compared to 2013 championships.

 

 

Mixed Doubles Team losing in the First Round of Wimbledon, 2014 will win a prize money of 1,400 GBP.

 

Mixed Doubles Team losing in the Second Round of Wimbledon, 2014 will win a prize money of 2,800 GBP.

 

Mixed Doubles Team losing in the 3rd Round of  Wimbledon, 2014 will win a prize money of 5,600 GBP.

 

 

Mixed Doubles Team losing in the Quarter Finals of  Wimbledon, 2014 will win a prize money of 11,500 GBP.

 

 

Mixed Doubles Team losing in the Semi Finals of  Wimbledon, 2014 will win a prize money of 24,000 GBP.

 

 

The runner up Mixed Doubles Team of  Wimbledon, 2014 will win a prize money of 48,000 GBP.

 

 

The Mixed Doubles Team winning  Wimbledon, 2014 will win a prize money of 96,000 GBP.

 

 

PRIZE Money for Wimbledon 2014 Men's and Women's Qualifying:

 

 

Players who lost in 1st Round of Qualifiers took home a pay check of 3,375 GBP.

 

Players who lost in 2nd Round of Qualifiers took home a pay check of 6,750 GBP.

 

Players who lost in 3rd Round of Qualifiers took home a pay check of 13,500 GBP.

 

 

PS: Currently, 1 GBP (GBP) = 1.71 USD (US Dollar) and it needs to be said, Wimbledon have done a commendable job in increasing the pay check of players in spite of the Economic conditions.

 

 

Thus, the total prize money (or call it the total purse) that will be distributed to players in Wimbledon 2014 is 25 million GBP or US $42.77 million. Cool, isn't it?

 

 

 

The wheel chair doubles Wimbledon 2014 champion will get 12000 GBP.

 

 

The wheel chair doubles Wimbledon 2014 losing finalist will get 6000 GBP.

 

 

The wheel chair doubles Wimbledon 2014 losing semi-finalists will get 4000 GBP.

 

 

The wheel chair doubles Wimbledon 2014 losing QF  will get 3000 GBP.

 

 

 

 

Invitation Doubles ::::

 

 

 

Winners of Invitation Doubles to get 21,000 GBP.

 

 

Losing Finalists to get 18,000 GBP.

 

 

Losing Semi-Finalists to get 15,000 GBP.

 

 

Losing Quarter-Finalists to get 14,000 GBP.
