Sunday's final vs David Ferrer at Cincinnati will be Roger Federer's 121st career final. As, I stated in my match report article, this is the 7th year where in Federer has reached 4 consecutive finals.

Here's a break-up of the finals that Roger Federer has played over the years:

2003:  7-2

 

2004:  11-0 (Reached four consecutive finals)

 

2005:  11-1 (Reached six consecutive twice during the year)

2007:   8-4 (Reached 7 consecutive 7 finals during the year)

 

2008:   4-4 (Reached 6 consecutive finals during the year)

2011:   4-2

 

2012:   6-4 (Reached 4 consecutive finals including London Olympics singles final)

 

2013:   1-2

 

2014:   3-5 (updated after Cincinnati Masters, 2014 final with Cincy Final being the 4th successive final)

That is another impressive achievement! I doubt that there are many players who will equal or exceed that amongst those currently on the tour. Roger's ability to stay relatively injury free has certainly helped.
