First of all, a huge round of congrats to Rafael Nadal for winning the Italian Open, 2012 by defeating Novak Djokovic 7-5, 6-3.

Rafa unarguably is the greatest Red clay court champion. Also, this is his 21st ATP 1000 title & in today's evening to be announced ATP points, Rafa will regain the world No. 2 ranking.

As roger had said before the start of Italian Open, 2012, rankings or seedings doesn't bother him, nor will it be impacting Rafa.. So, good luck :)..

Since, Mardy Fish 10 & Goel Monfils 13th ranked opted out, so, every one below them moved up one & two places respectively in the seedings of french open, 2012 --

& thus, the 30th seeded is Jurgen Kelzer,

31st seed -- Kevin anderson

& 32nd seed --- Florian Mayer.

First of all I would like to appreciate the fact that you are doing a wonderful job over here, people are learning more and more about the game of tennis. I have been following the game since 2001 wimbledon final when goran defeated rafter and won his maiden grand slam on grass. I know almost everything about what has happened since that day in the game of tennis but I am a little confused about the points system. In the last post you said that before a tournament starts, the points of the previous year's tournament are deducted before the start of that particular tournament. If that's true then how come Rafa just lost 1000 points (he was on 10,060 points on the 21st of May and now he's on 90,60). From my understanding, he should be on 80,60 because he won roland garros last year. Same thing applies to Roger's points as well, he was the runners up last year which means 1200 points should be deducted from his tally but it's not the actual case. Kindly shed some light on all this.

Hi buddy, good to hear from you again (the only regret that I have is that, I will never come to know, if you will read my explanation or not) as you are not logged in :(...

Hope, u will login for next post, so that atleast I can be happy that u read :)...U can login from yr twitter, fb or Google or make a new id (will take just 1 minute max)..

See, ATP will announce another ranking points on the midnight of 28th may (In India & Pakistan), it will be monday morning..

In those rankings, Rafa will lose 2000 points that he won by virtue of being the winner in 2011 & Roger will lose 1200 points.

So, yes, Roger will again be world no. 2 from 29th May on wards :).. Hope, U all got my point... More doubts welcomed :)...
