Roger Federer's past performances at Gerry Weber Open


History

The Gerry Weber Open is a tennis tournament held in Halle, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Held since 1993, the tournament is played on four outdoor grass courts and is a part of the ATP World Tour 250 series on the ATP Tour schedule.
The Centre Court (the Gerry Weber Stadion) has 12,300 seats and a retractable roof which can be closed in 88 seconds so that tennis games can continue with a closed roof when it begins to rain. The stadium is heated and also used for other sport events (handball, basketball, volleyball andboxing) and concerts.
Swiss World No. 3 Roger Federer has won the Halle tournament five times (2003–06, 2008) and holds the record for most singles titles. Federer also won four of them in consecutive years, and every time Federer won the title except in 2008, he went on to win the title at the Wimbledon Championships. Federer withdrew from the 2007, 2009 and 2011 tournaments, citing fatigue after the French Open.

Firsly i hope he is fit to play this tournament,, As always i wish him well for this tournament,, as we can see he has already won this event 5 times and he is going for his 6th, If he wins here or even if he reaches the finals he will become the 7th most successful player on grass courts,, he is currently 10th with 102 match wins(grass), So even if he reaches the finals he will be overtaking Pat Cash(104 wins), Lleyton Hewitt(105 wins),and Mark Edmondson(105 wins), Roger Federer will move to 7th and will be behind Phil Dent (6th 108 wins), Wally Masur ( 5th 112 wins), Roscoe Tanner(4th 113 wins), Boris Becker (3rd 116 wins), John McEnroe (2nd 119 wins) and Jimmy Connors (1st 168 wins)
