Here's a small try by me to celebrate the great achievement by the maestro Roger Federer. Poem written by me after Roger Federer won his 5th Cincinnati Title after he bagelled Djokovic in the first set.
The second Masters of the summer hard-court season
Gave us all a very pleasant reason
To smile,to feel good,to cheer a lot
B'coz our Roger's form is now super-hot!
Just twenty minutes into the game,
That cheerful bagel against Novak came.
I was ecstatic.I banged my fist so hard
On the table I sure seemed a retard!
I did not care.I was thinking of another six-love.
With hopeful eyes I gazed at the heavens above.....
But Alas! That was not to be.
Nole had finally woken from his reverie.
Near cardiac arrest and pulse so high.
Every now and then I drew a sigh,
As the set went neck to neck
Till of course the exciting tie-break.
Without dropping serve he went on to win.
The final forehand winner evoked a huge grin.
I felt incredible.It could not get any better.
Thank God it did not have to go to a three-setter...
With a record fifth Cincy crown,
The Swiss was instantly the talk of the town.
Yet again he reinstated himself as the world's best,
Much much better and way above the rest.
Well done my hero!!
I will always love that six zero!
