Roger Federer has released his 2013 tournament schedule. Very interesting! He has dropped Monte-Carlo, Doha, Miami Masters & Basel. Because Federer has been on the tour for 12 years, has played over 600 matches & is 31 years old, he is exempt from fines if he doesn't participate in Masters 1000. Rafa has won Monte-Carlo the past 8 years and the clay there is quite slow. Kind of surprised he's dropped Basel. I included the Tour Finals myself....highly likely he'll be in London next November!

Thanks Elis for posting Federer's Tennis Schedule,i was waiting for it... But I was disappointed that he dropped Basel, and sure, the people in Doha will miss him because they adore him there...
Just wish him luck in 2013 and hope to see Federer holds another Grand Slam title :)

When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a Roger Federer to smile.

Thou, frankly, I feel Federer will surely play Basel :). For every one asking why Basel & Davis Cup are not in the initial schedule of Roger Federer, see this detailed post --------

I selfishly don't want him to play any more Davis Cups, he's been playing Davis Cups since 1998 only skipping it for one year in 2010. Maybe he's done enough? Am also worried that if he plays Basel, whether he'll play Bercy. Alternatively, if he skips Basel, I think he could try for Tokyo perhaps? better timing in the schedule. Guess we'll have to wait and see!

Well, be rest assured, Basel will be there :). No chance of Tokyo. I reckon, Federer will skip the February 2013 tie vs Czech Republic.

Hmm I too get the feeling Basel will be back on. Plus not winning his final Basel tournament seems sad so I think he'll definitely give it a go. Maybe he'll skip Bercy, he has no points to defend there anyway.
