Many many thanks for the many clicks and the pain-staking shares, bro'. Delighted for you! Sure this was all more than just memorable.

Oh - and welcome, again, to the club "I have seen and met RF". Now you know how it feels :)

When was the last time that Roger Federer lost to a seemingly relentless, Spanish-speaking southpaw, on clay, and it wasn't his bête noire of a Spaniard, Rafa Nadal?

Well played Frederico Delbonis (ARG). Handed Federer his first loss to someone born in the '90s.

Quick facts:
» This was Federer's first loss to a qualifier since 2007. The last one came against Cañas, at Miami.

» This was also the first time, since 2002, that Federer suffered consecutive losses to players ranked outside the Top 100. Back in 2002, it was Ancic (154) at Wimbledon and Stepanek (110) at Gstaad.

Fleeting thoughts: Given that the racquet head size has changed, it is a bit too harsh expect him to start winning tournaments left, right and centre.

Having had a rather mediocre season, he'll need to have more match play under his belt too.

Bring on Gstaad!

Shokran, Sausan! :)

Made for a wonderful read... And yes, I agree with the sentiment. Journalists don't quit writing. Why should this fellow quit? Yes, this year hasn't been his best. It look horrible only because this was the guy who raised the bar for excellence in the first place!

Jeez, get a life boltbrains!

Ridiculous, to say the least!

As Basil Fawlty (John Cleese) would say, "It's *disgusting*!"

Roger needs to do well at Wimby. I mean. Really well... *fingers crossed*

PS: Won't Federer gain points from his appearance at Halle, last year? He was runner up, right? (Didn't play in 2011)
